In the US state of New Mexico, many areas were suddenly flooded after heavy rains on Tuesday. The biggest impact of the flood was seen in a hill village named Rudoso, where the flow was so fast that many houses were swept away and many people were trapped. Relief-rescue teams are continuously working.

The National Weather Service has released a flash flood emergency for Rudoso and its surrounding areas. This is the same area where there was a fire in the forest last year and thousands of acres of forests were burnt to ashes.

Officials present on the spot said that no death has been confirmed so far, but three people are hospitalized. Many people have been evacuated safely from flowing water and houses, but so far it is not clear how many people are missing.

The areas on the banks of the Rio Rudoso River have been the most affected. According to reports, the water level of the river was about one and a half feet at 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon, which reached 20 feet in less than an hour. After this, the water level started falling slowly, but by then many houses had been washed away and the movement on the streets had stopped.

More than 100 deaths in Texas, 161 missing

More than 100 people have died so far due to the sudden flood house and camp sinking on weekend in the state of Texas on July 4. Relief-rescue teams are constantly looking for missing people.
