The former MP has said this in a documentary of TV channel ITV1.
Former UK MP Kate Nivatin has made serious allegations of sexual exploitation on her husband and former MP Andrew Griffiths and domestic violence in married life.
In a documentary in Britain’s TV channel ITV1, Kate said that Griffiths raped her several times while she was sleeping. Kate told
He would forcibly make a relationship with me when I was sleepy. Many times I used to bear the bus, but used to cry many times. Then he used to kick and throw me out of bed. I used to cry, fear, but she used to say- no one will trust you, I am an MP, the police is also with me. I used to lock myself in a room or leave home.
Griffiths and Kate were married in 2013. However, the two separated in 2018 after 5 years.
In 2019, Kate contested the MP from Burton and won and reached Parliament in place of her own husband.
Told two weeks of daughter- go silent
Recalling an incident, Kate said that his daughter was only two weeks. One morning when she was crying for milk and Griffiths was preparing to go to Parliament. Then she shouted at the girl and said- go silent and bastard ….
Kate further says
People think that this does not happen to middle class professional people. People feel that domestic violence takes place only in poor sections, but the truth is that it can happen to anyone.
According to Kate, no one knows how much poison can be hidden inside it, which looks perfect from outside.
The court admitted- there was rape and assault
A UK family court admitted in 2021 that Griffiths raped Kate and committed physical violence again and again. The court also admitted that he also mentally tortured him.
Kate said that she continued to fight the legal system for 5 years even after suffering 10 years of torture. According to Kate, even after separation, Griffiths kept harassing him through a legal system for 5 years.
She says that the same situation is with thousands of women, whom the court is not able to provide security.
