The government says that this step has been taken to do justice to the youth and to increase their participation in democracy, especially for the youth who are working in the army or are ready to serve the country.

He said that giving the right to vote for 16 -year -old youth will not only increase democratic participation, but will also strengthen the society for the future.

Rules strict to stop foreign intervention
The government said that it is tightening the rules to prevent foreign interference in elections. Now political donation companies have to prove that they are related to Britain or Ireland and they earn income from there.
Till now any British company could donate to any political party, irrespective of the company and its owner. Now if someone wants to donate to a political party through ‘shell company’, then he will have to follow strict rules.
