US President Donald Trump has announced a large trade deal with Japan. Donald Trump said at the White House on Tuesday- I have signed the biggest trade agreement in history. This is probably the biggest agreement with Japan.
Trump said on social media- Japan will invest $ 550 billion (about 46 lakh crore rupees) in America. Also, Japan has agreed to implement 15% recipes.
Calling it very beneficial for the US, Trump said that it would create millions of new jobs and America will get 90 percent of the total profit.
Japan is one of the largest trading partners in the US. Trump reported that Japan would open its economy for American goods. These include cars, trucks, rice and agricultural products.
However, Japan has not yet confirmed the agreement with the US. How much tariff will be taken in Japan on American imports is not clear.
Recently, Trump warned that if there was no agreement with Japan before August 1, then 25 percent tariff would be imposed on it.
This will provide relief to the auto industry of Japan, which is responsible for 8% of jobs in the country. The news of the tariff declined from 25% to 15% led to a rise in shares of Japanese auto companies and Nikkei 225 index rose by more than 1%.
The agreement has come after recent agreements with the Philippines, Indonesia, UK and Vietnam. Trump has announced 19% tariffs for the Philippines and Indonesia.
