US President Donald Trump has completed 6 months of his second term. He took oath of office on 20 January.
On 20 January 2025, US President Donald Trump completed 6 months of his tenure on Sunday. During the election campaign, he promised that he would make Gaza and Ukraine War ‘finish in 24 hours’. But till now neither the Russia-Ukraine war has stopped nor the Israel-Hamas struggle in the Gaza Strip. The fight is still going on in Ukraine, while more than 58 thousand people have been killed in Gaza so far.
Trump’s main focus was on global trade policy in the first six months after becoming President. He imposed 60% tariff on China, 25% on Vietnam, and 40% on European cars. In response, China and the European Union have also retaliated. On the domestic front, Trump takes strictness about migrant control. Thousands of people have been sent back to the US-Mexico border in the last 3 months.
Now Trump has changed his stand on Ukraine War. The issue of Ukraine has become a matter of reputation for Trump internationally. It is believed that in the coming time, some meaningful results may come about both wars.

Ukraine War: 50 days deadline ends on 2 September
Trump has indicated to adopt aggressive diplomatic and economic strategies to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
Trump has threatened to impose 100% secondary tariffs on Russia if there was no peace agreement within 50 days. This deadline will end on 2 September, followed by strictness.
Trump has promised to supply weapons such as Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, the European countries will bear the cost.
Also, Trump has pressurized NATO countries to make defense spending 5% of GDP, so that Ukraine gets support. So far, Trump’s policies on Ukraine have been unstable, but this time they are aggressive.
Gaza war: 60 -day ceasefire proposal to Hamas
President Trump has adopted a strategy to increase the pressure on Israel and Hamas in the next 6 months to end the Gaza war.
Trump proposed a 60-day ceasefire to Israel and warned Hamas that it would have to bear ‘serious consequences’ if it is not accepted.
Hamas demanded the Israeli army to vacate the Gaza, while Israel is not ready on the condition. Trump has promised military assistance of Rs 33,400 crore to Israel.
Also, Rs 83,500 crore for reconstruction of Gaza from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Demand for investment of Experts believe that Trump’s strategy may be limited to a partial ceasefire.

21 months of Gaza Jung have been completed. More than 58 thousand Palestinians have died in this. About 2 million people of Gaza are facing danger of hunger.
