Terrorist Pannu said in his video message- Kapil Sharma and the rest of Modi-supportive investors give a clear message, this country (Canada) is not your playground. Go back to India with your money. The ideology of Hindutva in Canada will not be allowed to spread under the guise of trade.

Pannu poisoned against India on the pretext of firing
Pannu said about the firing on Kapil’s cafe that it was a political opposition. There is a warning against the growing influence of Hindutva in Canada. Why Kapil Sharma, who says ‘Mera Bharat Great’, why are Modi not investing in India? Is Caps Cafe just a comedy cafe or part of a strategy to expand Hindutva globally?
Who is Gurpatwant Singh Pannu?
- Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is originally from Khankot, Punjab. He currently lives in America and runs an organization called Sikh for Justice. He has citizenship of both America and Canada.
- In 2019, the Government of India banned Pannu’s organization SFJ under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act i.e. UAPA on charges of running terrorist activities. SFJ was supporting separatism and extremist ideology in Punjab under the guise of referendum for Sikhs.
- Pannu was accused of promoting separatism in the year 2020 and encouraging Punjabi Sikh youth to take up arms. After this, the Central Government declared Pannu as a terrorist under UAPA on 1 July 2020. According to media reports, this was the main target of this alleged conspiracy. However, it is not mentioned in the FBI charge sheet.

9 round firing was done at 1 pm on Thursday night
As per Canadian time, an unknown assailant fired 9 rounds towards the cafe at around 1 pm on Thursday night. The attacker was riding in a car and fired bullets passing in front of the cafe. It is a matter of relief that no one has been injured in this attack, but the incident has shocked the cafe team and Kapil Sharma’s fans in deep shock.

After the incident, an official message was released by ‘Caps Cafe’ on social media. In this post shared on Instagram, the team expressed their feelings and wrote- We started the Caps Cafe not just as a business, but as a place where people could be able to be relaxed while talking to coffee. However, this kind of violence with this dream is going to break the heart. We are struggling with this shock, but will not give up.
Angered by Kapil Sharma’s statement, claim of firing
After the firing, the police and forensic team reached the spot and investigated. Harjit Singh Ladi carried out the firing incident on Kapil Sharma’s cafe for comment against Nihang Sikhs during a comedy show.
On social media, Harjit Singh Ladi and another person named Hurricane Singh warned Kapil Sharma to publicly apologize through the video and said that if not apologized, the matter could be worse.
Both also claimed that they tried to contact Kapil Sharma’s manager several times, which was ignored. Eventually, he had to fire outside the cafe to catch the attention of the comedian.
However, what Kapil Sharma commented on Nihang Sikhs is not clear. Some sources estimate that it may be associated with an old episode of Netflix or a live show. Earlier this year, Nihang leader Baba Balbir Singh also objected to Kapil Sharma’s content.
