Nimisha Priya (37) was convicted for killing a Yemeni citizen in June 2018. He was to be hanged on 16 July. However, before this, Nimisha’s punishment was temporarily postponed on 15 July.

According to media reports, the activist group and influential religious leaders intervened in the matter, after which Nimisha Priya’s death sentence was postponed.
