On the night of 10 July, 9 rounds of firing was done at Kapil Sharma’s Caps Cafe. The cafe was inaugurated by Kapil Sharma on 7 July. Then media reports claimed that Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Ladi took responsibility for this attack. Harjeet Singh, who is associated with BKI, is included in the Most Wanted List of NIA in India.

- Do not accept oppression and slavery: Babbar Khalsa said in a 2 -page statement released in Punjabi language that when Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the incarnation of Sikhism, raised his voice against the tyrannical powers, he clarified that he does not accept any persecution or slavery. Guru Sahib inspired the Sikhs to follow the path of self -esteem, freedom and justice. On this, Babbar Khalsa organization was formed.
- Money remained using the name of the organization: It was written that the objective of the organization is to protect Sikhism, community, and creed according to the teachings of Shri Guru Sahiban, but recently some selfish elements are using the name of Babbar Khalsa, making money from people, giving threats, and spreading fear in the society. The organization makes it clear that it has nothing to do with these acts.
- Threatening against our principles: Warned that if a person asks or threatens money from someone by taking the name of Babbar Khalsa, then he is against our principles. They should stop this work immediately. If someone misuses our name, strict action will be taken against him. When the Sikhs were attacked in the 1978 incident, since then Babbar Khalsa is active to protect the community. The organization has never forgotten the atrocities with Sikhs in India and the 1984 Sikh massacre.
- Merved the limits and introduced: The organization said that In today’s time, some people are being distorted by distorting the principles and dignities of Sikhism. Babbar Khalsa International is serious about the fact that Gurmat, Sikh and martyrs are being sidelined in the society. The organization makes the Sikh society aware that they should follow the teachings of the gurus and be organized to protect the community.
- Do not do illegal activities in the name of the organization: Babbar Khalsa International said that he makes it clear that his path is based on the dignity, sacrifice, service and justice of Sikhism. The purpose of the organization is only to maintain the dignity of the Khalsa Panth and to deal with the elements against it strictly. Babbar Khalsa does not give any person or organization the right to do illegal activities in our name. We appeal to Sikh organizations, gurudwaras, and the general public to inform the concerned institutions immediately to the concerned institutions of any kind of fraud, threat, or forced recovery.

Firing claims after Kapil Sharma’s statement After the firing, media reports claimed that Harjit Singh Ladi carried out the firing incident on Kapil Sharma’s cafe for comments against Nihang Sikhs during a comedy show. On social media, Harjit Singh Ladi and another person named Hurricane Singh warned Kapil Sharma to publicly apologize through the video and said that if not apologized, the matter could be worse.
Both also claimed that they tried to contact Kapil Sharma’s manager several times, which was ignored. Eventually, he had to fire outside the cafe to catch the attention of the comedian. However, what Kapil Sharma commented on Nihang Sikhs is not clear.
