Boundary Working Group (BWG) meeting is going to be held between India and Nepal six years later this month. This bilateral group looks at technical works such as repair, construction and survey of pillars on the Indo-Nepal border. However, disputed areas such as Susta and Kalapani are excluded from negotiations.
The last meeting of BWG was held in August 2019 in Dehradun. It was then decided that by 2022 all the border related work would be completed.
But the conversation came to a standstill due to the Korona epidemic and then the dispute over the map. Now India has proposed two possible dates for the second and last week of July.
BWG was founded in 2014 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Nepal. The group works on technical aspects such as repair (D2), GPS based survey (D4), a list of occupations (D3) and Joint Inspection (D1) on the land of both countries.
