A doctor of Indian origin in America has been shocked. 51 -year -old Dr. Ritesh Kalra is accused of illegally giving opioid medicines to patients suffering from drug addiction and seeking sex in return.
Dr. Kalra, who lives in Sekkas, New Jersey, wrote drugs like Oxicodone more than 31 thousand times between 2019 and 2025 without any legitimate medical reason.
According to the documents presented in the court, he took advantage of patients with addiction and misused his medical license.
A female patient alleged that she was forced into forced involuntary sexual relations during medical appointments. Another patient said that when she was in jail, she was still given OPOD medicine without talking to the doctor.
After these allegations, Dr. Kalra’s medical license has been suspended. The US court has kept him under domestic detention and has been released on the condition of filling a bond of 1 million dollars.
