Amritpal Singh, son of a missing farmer from village Khaire of Jalalabad in Fazilka district of Punjab, has been sentenced by the court of Pakistan. Amritpal has been sentenced to one month under Foreign Act 1946 and fined Rs 50,000.

In case of non -payment of fine, he will have to stay in additional jail for 15 days. They accidentally moved to the Pakistan border. At present, Amritpal is kept in the jail in Islamabad.

India will be sent back after completion of sentence

This decision has brought some relief to their families, as the court has instructed the officials concerned to make necessary arrangements for sending them back to India after completion of the sentence.

Amritpal was missing since June 21

Amritpal’s father Jagraj Singh said that his son had crossed the Indo-Pak border on June 21, but did not return till evening.

Investigation of family complaints and footprints revealed that Amritpal accidentally went to Pakistan’s border. First Pakistani officials refused to be in Pakistan, but later confirmed that he was present in a police station.

Flag meeting was held three times

BSF and Pak Rangers have had a three -time flag meeting. Now with the court’s decision, the family hopes that Amritpal will be brought to India soon. Amritpal also has a four -month -old son and is the only son in the family.
