Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that if anything happens to him, it would be the responsible army chief Asim Munir.
According to Imran’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI, Imran said that in recent times, he and his wife Bushra Bibi have increased bad behavior.
He said that television has also been closed in his wife’s cell and the basic human rights of the prisoners are not being given.
Imran appealed to the Pakistani public to oppose this poor system. PTI is preparing to perform for Imran’s release from 5 August. According to media reports, two sons of Imran can play a special role in this performance. Both of them live in London.
Imran said- terrorist in better circumstances
Imran Khan said- The killers and terrorists who were convicted are also kept in better circumstances. He cited another military personnel, stating that he is enjoying VIP treatment in jail.
He further said, “Meanwhile, I am constantly being harassed. But whatever they do, I have never knee in front of harassment – nor will I ever bent.” Imran has been in jail since August 2023 and has been facing several criminal cases.
Aseem Munir is taking revenge on personal enmity
Imran also reiterated his claim made about a month ago that harassment against his wife Bushra Bibi is a Prime Minister’s tenure incident.
Imran said, “When Asim Munir was removed from the post of ISI chief, he tried to request a message by sending a message to Bushra Bibi through Zulfi Bukhari (PTI leader).
Imran claimed that Aseem Munir is doing this to avenge his personal enmity and break them emotionally.
Imran Khan has been lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
PTI will perform from August 5
Imran’s party PTI is preparing to start a nationwide demonstration from August 5 to put pressure on Shahbaz Sharif government and military establishment for his release.
The party has named it “Azad Karo” campaign. Imran’s sister Alima Khan also told the media that Imran has instructed PTI to hold Munir accountable when he or his wife’s safety is in danger.

Imran Khan’s sons, Suleman Isa Khan (29) and Qasim Khan (26), who lived in London, had kept distance from politics till now, but according to media reports, both brothers are planning to lead a protest rally in Lahore on August 5.
In which the release of his father Imran Khan will be demanded, who have been serving sentence in various cases in Adiala Jail for the last two years. In May this year, Imran’s sons broke the silence on their father’s custody for the first time and spoke through social media posts.
He appealed to London to pressurize the Sharif government to the international community to release his father. Last week, Qasim shared a post of an official petition filed in New Zealand, demanding the government to pressurize Pakistan to release Imran Khan.

Imran’s son said- our father is a great leader
On July 14, Imran’s younger son Qasim Khan shared a post on a social media x, stating that his father has been in jail for more than 700 days.
Qasim wrote, “Our father spent his life away from us, Pakistan. It was not his compulsion, but his choice because he stood against corrupt rule. Even though he was not present for us every day as a father, but Pakistan got a great leader. He gave everything to the country.”
He further said, “He got a chance to live a comfortable life, play cricket or walk with us in England, but he chose to live in a dark prison cell. His sacrifice is for Pakistan. His strength comes from the people there.”
Qasim alleged in another post that his father was not allowed to meet his lawyers and his personal doctor was also prevented from meeting him. Imran Khan’s ex -wife Jemima Goldsmith also claimed on 10 July that the government did not allow her children to talk to her father over the phone.
