Former US President Donald Trump has threatened to file a case against Wall Street Journal (WSJ), its owner Rupert Murdoch and his company News Corp.

Trump accused the WSJ that he published a false and defamable news, in which his name was associated with billionaire and sex trafficking convict Jeffri Epstein.

In fact, the newspaper claimed in its report that Trump had sent a letter on Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003. Not only did Trump’s name in this letter, but the picture of a naked woman was also attached to it.

Describing this news as false and derogatory, Trump has said that if WSJ does not withdraw it, he will take legal action.

Trump said- if there was a truth, it would have come first

Donald Trump wrote on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ that he himself told Ruart Murdoch that the news published in the Wall Street Journal is completely fake and should not be published.

Trump claims that Murdoch assured him that he would look into the matter, but despite this the news was printed. Trump said that if there was any truth related to the Jeffre Epstein case about him, he would have been revealed by now. Opponents like FBI, CIA or Hillary Clinton would have exposed it.

He said that any such letter could not remain hidden for so many years, nor would she wait until she wins the election three times. (Trump believes that he also won the 2020 election.)

Trump sent a message before the news was published

The special thing is that before the news of Wall Street Journal was published, Trump sent his message to the newspaper Editor Emma Tucker through Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman Caroline Lewet. Trump had clearly stated that the letter written to Epstein is fake and the news is based on lies. But Emma Tucker did not listen to her and still printed the news.

The Wall Street Journal has claimed that he sought his reaction from Trump before printing the news. But the reply was found a day later, in which he dismissed the allegations outright and said that he would sue the journal, as he had already done many media institutions.

After this, the Wall Street Journal printed the news on 16 July. The title of the news is- ‘Jeffrey Epstein’s friends sent him pornographic letters for the 50th birthday album. A Donald belonged to Trump. ‘

The impact of Fox News in Trump’s victory

94 -year -old Upert Murdoch is the owner of Wall Street Journal, Fox News and many other media brands. Relationships between Trump and Murdoch have ever been very close, but they have soured in the last few years.

Initially, Rupert Murdoch was a big supporter of Trump. His media institutions, especially Fox News, played a big role in becoming President of Trump. But during the 2020 election, especially when Trump began to spread lies about the election results and the Capital Hill was attacked on 6 January 2021, Murdoch’s institutions started distance from Trump.

According to a leaked email, Murdoch had told one of his colleagues at the time that “we will now have to anonymity.” However, as soon as the Republican party and his supporters started supporting Trump again, Murdoch also returned close to him.
