Former Pakistan Foreign Minister and People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto said on Friday that Pakistan does not know the hideout of Jaish-e-Mohammed’s leader Masood Azhar. If India gives information that Azhar is in Pakistan, Pakistan will be happy to arrest it.

He also said that the countries share information with each other to stop terrorism. We have done so to prevent attacks in London, New York and Pakistan. If Masood Azhar is in Afghanistan, then NATO could not catch him there. It is not possible for Pakistan to go and do this.

Bilawal’s statement came at a time when India destroyed many terrorist bases in Pakistan in Operation Sindoor two months ago. Masood Azhar’s family and 4 colleagues were killed in this attack.

According to media reports, Masood Azhar had issued a statement after this saying that if I had died, it would have been lucky. Those who died included her elder sister and her husband, Masood Azhar’s nephew and his wife, a niece of Masood and five of his children.

The statement also said that three close allies of terrorists Masood were also killed. Apart from these, the mother of a colleague also died.

Azhar is the mastermind of the Parliament attack

Azhar is the mastermind of the 2001 Parliament attack. Apart from this, he was also involved in the 2016 Pathankot attack. According to the charge sheet of Delhi Police in this case, Masood used Jaish-e-Mohammed cadre for attacks on India. He also attacked Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya in 2005 and CRPF personnel in Pulwama in 2019.

Apart from this, Masood is also responsible for the Uri attack in 2016 and an attack on Indian conceulate in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. Azhar al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden and Taliban founder Mullah Omar were special.

Masood Azhar came to India for the first time in 1994

Masood Azhar first reached Delhi from Dhaka riding in aircraft from Bangladesh on January 29, 1994. In 1994, Azhar entered Srinagar by creating a fake identity. His aim was Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen groups to reduce tension.

In October 2016, China went against India’s proposal and saved Azhar in UNSC. After this, in 2017, the US raised the demand to declare Azhar as a terrorist in UNSC, but China again came in the middle. Finally, in May, China had removed the obstacle and UNSC declared Masood Azhar a global terralerist in 2019.
