US President Donald Trump, billionaire billionaire Ilon Musk’s company Spacex may be excluded from the Golden Dome missile defense system project.
According to a report by Reuters, the Trump administration has started exploring new options for this important project of $ 175 billion.
Instead of SpaceX, this time only Jeff Bezos’ company Amazon’s project Kuper can get a chance. Apart from this, many other big defense companies are also in the race.
The dispute between Trump and Musk for the last two months is considered to be the reason behind this change. According to the report, SpaceX has also not shown interest in the project.

Musk has said that their priority is to take humans to Mars.
What is Golden Dome Missile Dome Project
The US has decided to create its defense system Golden Dome on the lines of Israel’s Iron Dome Missile Defense System. Trump announced the Golden Dome Project only a week after the beginning of his second term.
This defense system will be able to prevent missiles launched from any part of the world. Trump has claimed that the Golden Dome will also be able to stop the attacks from space.

According to Trump, Golden Dome will be operational by the end of his tenure.
Work started to launch project
The Golden Dome project will cost around $ 175 billion, ie 14.52 lakh crore rupees. Trump has initially approved spending $ 25 billion (about 2.05 lakh crore rupees).
After getting approval from the Senate on July 17, Space Force General Michael Guitalin has been given the command of this project. He is considered one of Trump’s most trusted military officers.
They have to form a team in 30 days, design in 60 days and prepare a full plan in 120 days.

The Vice Chief of Space Operations of the Guitalin Space Force is employed. He was appointed on December 21, 2023 during the Biden tenure.
Who is better in SpaceX and Amazon
SpaceX has so far launched more than 9 thousand Starlink Satellite. The company has a long experience in the government procurement process. Because of this, the company is still at the forefront of some major parts of Golden, especially the launch contracts.
Amazon’s project Kuipar has just launched only 78 satellites. But the Pentagon has invited the company to join the project. It is an indication that now the government wants to add traditional defense companies as well as tech firms to this defense system.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos said in January that Kuper may be a commercial project, but its military utility cannot be denied.
