The Hindu epic Ramayana is being staged in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, which is getting good appreciation from the audience. According to Dawn’s report, a theater group called ‘Mauj’ is staging the play from 11 to 13 July.

This presentation of Ramayana shows a historical story of good and evil in a modern style. In this drama, every scene is very beautifully alive using AI technology. Such as the trees of trees, the glory of palaces, or the peace of the forest.

The show’s director Yoheshwar Karera said that people in Karachi are liking it.

Re -presentation after 8 months Earlier, the play has also been shown in November 2024 at The Second Floor (T2F) in Karachi, where it was highly appreciated. Now this drama has been re -presented in the Arts Council of Karachi.

In the play, Rana Kazmi plays Sita, Rama played the role of Rama by Ashmal Lalwani and is seen as Ravana. Other major characters include Aamir Ali (Raja Dasharatha), Vakas Akhtar (Laxman), Jibran Khan (Hanuman), Sana Toha (Rani Kaikeyi), and Ali Sher (United States).

The director said- there was no fear of any threat

The play was directed by Yoheshwar Karera. He said that he never feared that people would call him bad or some kind of threats by making plays based on Hindu religious texts like Ramayana.

Karera said that he was confident that the presentation would be appreciated in Pakistan. He said-

Kazmi said that in the theater fun, everyone understands the grandeur of this story, so as soon as the idea of this play was kept, everyone got ready. People from all over the world know and like the story of Ramayana, and now its staging in Karachi is touching the hearts of people.
