In Nepal’s Rasuwa district on Tuesday, the bodies of 9 people flowing in the sudden floods in the Bhotekoshi river have been found. According to the report of the Republical newspaper, the bodies of the people were recovered from the bottom, miles away from the districts.
20 people are still missing. Of these, 3 are security personnel and six Chinese citizens. The China-Nepal Maitri bridge connecting the two countries in the flood was also washed away. The swollen river took away 23 cargo containers, six trucks and 35 electric vehicles.
The flood damaged four hydroelectric projects in Rasuva, affecting the supply of at least 211 MW to the National Electrical Grid. The Bhotekoshi river in Nepal suddenly flooded at 3:15 am on Tuesday night due to continuous monsoon rains in China.
